Cellist, Angeline Kiang, 15, studies with Clive Greensmith at the Colburn Music Academy. She began her music education in piano at the age of 4 and in cello at 5. She has previously studied with Amos Yang and Sieun Lin. Angeline is a 1st prize winner in the Pacific Musical Society Competition, ENKOR International Music Competition, USIMC, and DVC/HNU Young Artist String Competition. An avid musician, Angeline has been a member of the Young Chamber Musicians since 2017, where her ensemble the Fervida Trio placed first at the Junior Division of the Fischoff National Chamber Competition, Pasadena Chamber Music Competition, and the Galante Prize Competition. As a featured soloist, Angeline was invited to perform on NBC’s Asian Pacific America and has participated in masterclasses with Miró Quartet, Hans Jørgen Jensen, Amit Peled, Timothy Eddy, Steve Doane, Brinton Averil Smith, Rohan De Silva, the Morgenstern Trio, the Henschel Quartet, and Trio con brio Copenhagen. Recently, she made her solo debut with the Golden Gate Symphony performing the Schumann Cello Concerto at Herbst Theater. In her spare time, Angeline enjoys reading and calligraphy.
