Ryan Har

Cello

Ryan Har, 17, is a senior at Stanford Online High School and a scholarship student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Pre-College Division. Ryan won first prize in The American Prize, first in American Protégé, and second prize in the Enkor International Music Competition in 2017. Prior to that, he had solo performances at Weill Recital Hall in 2017 and the SFCM Classical Kick-Off Weekend in 2016. He and his trio were quarterfinalists in the Fischoff Competition 2019, first in The American Prize in 2017, second in the Enkor International Music Competition in 2017, and first place at the Diablo Valley College/Holy Names University Young Artists String Competition in 2016. In addition, they have performed in the Concerts at the Presidio series in San Francisco. Ryan has taken masterclasses from Bonnie Hampton, Ben Hong, Julia Lichten and Hans Jorgen Jensen. He is currently studying cello under Bonnie Hampton and Jeremiah Shaw and chamber music with Joseph Maile and Amy Zanrosso. Outside of music, Ryan holds a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoys math and philosophy.
